STEAK THE FIRST is a steakhouse located just inside the entrance of Kitashinchi.
It’s located just a short walk from the JR Kitashinchi Station after coming up to street level, a few dozen meters in along the road next to Route 2. The atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent, with a distinctly American vibe.
When it comes to eating steak, you usually have to be prepared for a hefty price tag—but at this restaurant during lunchtime, you can enjoy steak at a reasonable price.

I’ve passed by the front of the restaurant several times, but I had never been inside—so this was my first visit.
This time, I ordered the “(U.S.) Aged Beef Loin” steak. Perhaps because it was lunchtime or due to the time of year, the restaurant was generally quiet, and it seemed that the two staff members were handling both the cooking and the serving.
Perhaps as a result, the menu wasn’t brought out, the rice and soup (miso soup) that came with the lunch set were cold, and the meat was slightly overcooked and tough—it was a bit disappointing.

It seems that rice and soup are all-you-can-refill during lunch, so those who want to eat a hearty meal will probably be happy about that.
It feels a bit disappointing that the meat only comes with one piece of broccoli and one piece of cauliflower as a side dish (lol).
This time, it just wasn’t the best timing, so I can’t confidently recommend it. However, the appeal of this place is that you can casually enjoy steak at a reasonable price for lunch, so if you happen to be passing by, I suggest giving it a try.
