I visited Gyutan Sumiyaki Rikyu, located in the Eki Marche at JR Osaka Station.
It’s a famous beef tongue restaurant that originated in Sendai. Since Eki Marche itself is a new and popular spot, Rikyu’s interior was very clean and lively, yet it still had a calm atmosphere where I could enjoy my meal.
This time, I ordered the beef tongue comparison set. The set comes with thick-cut beef tongue and regular beef tongue as the main items, along with oxtail soup, a salad, and grated yam (tororo).
The regular beef tongue was reliably delicious—so tender that it cut easily with each bite—and when eaten with the accompanying miso sauce and spicy chili miso, it was especially flavorful.

The thick-cut beef tongue was so juicy that the meat juices overflowed the moment I bit into it, and it had a firm, satisfying chew that made it very hearty. This time, I ordered the four-piece set, but there’s also a six-piece option on the menu. If you want a more generous serving, I think the six-piece set is the way to go. It might look like a lot, but since it’s so delicious, I think you’ll finish it easily.
また、サラダにも薄切りの牛タンが4切れほど乗っていて、炭火焼きとは違う牛タンの美味しさを味わえます。

牛タン料理のお店に来ると、よく出してもらえるテールスープがこのお店でも出してもらえます。
しっかりと胡椒の効いたスープにぶつ切りのお肉と細く切ったネギが良いんですよね。一口めにテールスープから入って、最後にテールスープで〆る。これがオススメの食べ方です。

有名店だけあって、安定の美味しさでした。大阪駅近くで牛タンを食べたくなった時はぜひ利久さんに行ってみてください。
