This time, I went to try curry at “Budō Takumiya” located in the Osaka Ekimae 3rd Building.

It was my first time visiting, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was casual, stylish, and easy to enter. In the evening, they seem to offer a menu featuring wine and meat dishes. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, and it felt like a small place with fewer than 20 seats in total.
At lunchtime, the underground area of the Osaka Station Buildings becomes extremely crowded, making it difficult to choose a restaurant. When I went to this place, it was already full, and I had to wait about 10 minutes before being seated. After being shown to my seat, I ordered using the iPad provided at the table. As planned, I chose from the curry menu.

Since it was a restaurant specializing in meat, I ordered the skirt steak curry with 1.5× meat (1,300 yen).
It’s a curry served with more meat than the regular skirt steak curry. The photo may not fully show how generous the portion is, but it’s actually layered in two levels, with more meat underneath as well.

As noted on the ordering iPad, the meat used is Bizen Kurogyu beef from Okayama Prefecture. The curry is a European-style curry made by slowly simmering kombu, bonito, and various vegetables, leaving a gentle sweetness in the aftertaste. It has a mild, smooth flavor, and I think it’s not too spicy—even people who don’t like spicy food or children could enjoy it.
If you find it not spicy enough, there are spices on the table for adjusting the heat, so you can sprinkle some on and enjoy it that way.
今回忙しい時間帯に行ってしまったからかもしれませんが、お肉はかなりしっかりと焼いていて、レアが好きな人にはもう少し生感が欲しい感じでした。それでも1,300円にしてはしっかりとお肉の量もあったので、贅沢は言いませんが。
全体的にはバランスの良い食べやすいカレーだったと思います。お肉とカレーが好きな人はぜひ行ってみてください。
